A special evening to say the least.
This sweet couple traveled from out of state and reached out while looking for their engagement photographer, and I was immediately excited to work with them.
Then came the weather panic. 😂 With thunderstorms in the forecast, we weren’t quite sure what the evening was going to look like. I told them that, worst case, we could embrace the rain and make some adventurous, epic photos out of it.
Luckily, we didn’t have to.
The clouds cleared, the skies opened up, and we ended up with the most stunning sunset at Madeira Beach.
If you’ve been in front of my camera, you probably know I love playing music during my sessions. I asked them whether they wanted something romantic or something fun, and they chose the fun playlist. But toward the end of the session, as the sun started glowing across the water, I decided it was time to play their song.
And wow. The whole atmosphere changed.
They immediately started looking into each others eyes—completely immersed in that little moment together, occasionally turning to watch the sunset. I may have gotten a little teary. 🥹
And then, somehow, the song ended at almost the exact moment the sun disappeared over the horizon.
I seriously couldn’t have planned it better.
These are the moments when I look around and think, Wait… this is my job?! 🥰
So grateful I get to capture moments like this.
